Trash to Treasure is a Dream Fund community-transformation initiative and original production series focused on giving neglected mobile home communities—and the people who call them home—a renewed path forward.
Hosted by Amichai Gräber as part of the Can We Do It? series, the project follows the real journey of restoring struggling communities into safer, healthier, and more hopeful places to live. It goes beyond improving homes and property. The deeper purpose is to strengthen residents, create connections to workforce and family-development opportunities, and build communities where everyone has a meaningful way to contribute.
Drawing upon years of experience transforming mobile home parks, the MicoLife team works alongside residents, community partners, skilled professionals, and responsible supporters. The approach begins by listening, understanding the challenges, and identifying the strengths already present within each community. From there, the work focuses on restoring dignity, improving living conditions, strengthening community relationships, and opening practical pathways toward greater stability and independence.
The series will honestly document the challenges, setbacks, decisions, and human stories behind this work. It will show what it takes to bring people together, rebuild trust, and pursue progress without leaving residents behind.
MicoLife’s long-term vision is to help establish thriving, thoughtfully designed communities throughout the Southeast—places shaped by attainable living, workforce participation, responsible simplicity, family development, and shared opportunity.
This is more than the transformation of property. It is an effort to show what becomes possible when experience, compassion, accountability, and determined action come together.
